58-60 High Street, Sai Ying Pun
I had the opportunity to grab a bite at a fairly new restaurant that popped up in the neighborhoods of Sai Ying Pun during Foodie Magazine‘s Food For Thought event in collaboration with The Economist.
Korean-Fried Chicken with Sweet & Spicy Sauce and Coleslaw
Whoever said Chicken HOF & Shoju serves the best Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) in Hong Kong definitely needs to try U-Hang’s. This is what real fried chicken is about.
It’s called the “Messy Slider” for a reason. With a generous amount of pulled pork shoulder, coleslaw, kimchi and U-Hang’s secret BBQ sauce, this slider a hot mess you need to get your hands on.
My friends know me as the “One-Shot Wonder,” “the girl who can’t drink,” “the girl who gets wobbly after half a cocktail.” But when yuzu is involved, all the wobbliness is worth it!
Although I got to try some of U-Hang’s signature dishes during the food event, I can’t wait to bring my friends there. It’s time for people to explore outside of Tsim Sha Tsui and Kimberley Road for good Korean food!
