Hey guys! I’m back and this time with a sort-of new layout.  Instead inserting the images as I normally do into my blog posts, I’m changing it to using picture collages.  Hope this will make the blog posts easier to read.

After coming back to Hong Kong for the first week, I was definitely missing LA-brunch-food.  Luckily, I read enough food reviews over the summer and heard of The Press Room.  My sister brought me here just for the eggs benedict.

Normally, The Press Room does not serve brunch on weekdays.  However, they do serve some breakfast/brunch foods on weekdays.

We ordered the Eggs Royale and escargots.  Both, on the top of my favorites and cravings lists.  The Eggs Royale is pretty much the same as the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon instead of the usual ham.  The eggs were cooked just right (I hate eggs that are overcooked).  The Hollandaise Sauce was also amazing with a slight hint of lemon juice.

We tried making our own eggs benedict a few days before we went to The Press Room.  Our sauce turned out too sour and the eggs overcooked.  Dining at The Press Room was like heaven.

I loved the escargots too.  It didn’t come with mashed potatoes like how most restaurants serve their escargots on but the taste of the escargot drenched in the shell filled with herbed butter is indescribable.  Although I wouldn’t say it was the best escargots I ever had, it would definitely be ranked somewhere near the top.
