Hi everyone! I just graduated from the University of Southern California and moved back to Hong Kong permanently a month ago. I am now working full-time at an advertising agency but I will continue updating my blog (hopefully more regularly than before) so stay tuned for more yummy updates!

One of the questions my friends asked me all the time was, “Joey, where have you gone to eat since you came back?” Well, here the update! I met up with two other food bloggers last night and we went to The Butcher Club. It was surprisingly easy to find, given my limited knowledge of Hong Kong’s geography.

Among the three of us, we ordered the Double Happiness, Burger and Duck Fat Fries. Were the Duck Fat Fries good? Yes. Was it amazing and to-die for? No.

Double Happiness: Two layers of beef patties, sandwiched in between mini grilled-cheese sandwiches.

Two layers of beef patties, sandwiched in between mini grilled-cheese sandwiches. This off-menu item was wow. Speechless. Did I manage to fit the whole thing into my mouth? No, I had to split it in the middle and eat it separately. I didn’t get to taste the full-on “double happiness” but any one with an appetite big enough to eat that should definitely order it.

Burger Of course, we also had to try the regular burger. A single layer of beef patty with the regular burger buns. After tasting the Double Happiness first, this burger was, in no way, comparable.

As I have mentioned, the Double Happiness is actually not on their regular menu. Here’s a picture of the other (not so) secret menu items you would want to know about.

Happy eating,
