I woke up late after a very long week of work and rushed to Tabibito to meet my friend for brunch. It was hard, really hard to find, especially given my still very limited knowledge of Hong Kong geography. But who am I to complain when I get good food and a very satisfied tummy? Tabibito recently started serving brunch, involving irresistible must-try items like their Mentaiko Pasta and their Fluffy Pancake with Caramelized Banana. Since Tabibito did not post their brunch menu online yet, I had some fun with their names.

Mentaiko Pasta
Oh my goodness. There are a ton of things I loved about this dish. From the al dente pasta to the flavored mentaiko sauce, this dish was hands-down, my absolute favorite from brunch.

Agnes-Approved Fluffy Scrambled Eggs & Bacon
Remember the scene in Despicable Me when Agnes finally won her unicorn stuffed toy, she shook it and screamed, “It’s so fluffy I’m gonna die?” Well, Agnes would surely approve of the scrambled eggs at Tabibito.

Very Soufflé Pancake with Caramelized Banana
I have to say the pancake itself was not too special. I actually don’t remember much about it, it was actually the caramelized banana that captured my attention. If this were the Oscar’s, the banana would definitely win the “Best Supporting Actress” award.
Looking forward to trying Tabibito’s dinner. I heard their Uni-Spiked Tofu and their razor clams are amazing too!
Happy eating,
Joey Wong ♥
