This post is a bit overdue since I went to London back in mid-February but better late than never right? One of the most interesting restaurants I went to in London was Sketch. I was lucky enough to make a reservation through their online reservation system at the Sketch.
From the moment we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by a hopscotch on the floor, which brought back all sorts of childhood playground memories and of course a very nice hostess. Since we arrived early, we were brought to The Parlour to wait as they prepared our table. This is the first of many rooms I got to visit during our lunch visit.
I took the opportunity to take a look at the other rooms including the Gallery, The Glade and of course their famous bathroom while we waited for our table:
As soon as we were seated, we were offered champagne from their champagne trolley (probably first time I’ve seen a restaurant with a champagne trolley before the meal) and we quickly decided on their tasting menu since we wanted to try everything.

Hand-dived Scottish scallop corolla with brown shrimp, split pea purée with black garlic, carrot jus with passion fruit

Leek “Richerenches” style with haddock and smoked eel, gillardeau oyster and whelks, black winter truffle

Gratin of veal sweetbreads with pear, celeriac and crozets, bleu de termignon endive leaves with maple syrup
Superior classes started two weeks ago and they are a bit more intense than I imagined, especially with the new school implementations after moving to the new campus. I’ll try to catch up with posts about traveling to Germany and Amsterdam in between classes!
Happy eating,
Joey ♥
