I’m back in Hong Kong, a good three pounds heavier than right before I left for Europe. Please bear with me as I slowly recall all the yummy bits and pieces from Paris, Monaco and Milan.

We just landed in Paris and hungry for crepes. The friendly concierge staff at the W Hotel pointed us towards Le Cap Breton. It was hard to communicate with them since the menu was French-only and our waitress spoke limited English. After a while, we finally got our orders down and waited in the cozy little cafe tucked in one of the alleys of Paris. Although it was hard to communicate, it was definitely worth the trip and the trouble.

We ordered the following crepes: ham & cheese, mushroom, smoked salmon, cinnamon and nutella. Unfortunately, I cannot remember all the ingredients that went into each crepe. Each of them had a fancy name with more ingredients than what I mentioned.

Anyway, here’s the breakdown:

Highlights

Mushroom Crepe The strong flavor from the mushroom complemented with melted cheese is pretty much as heavenly as it got. I was hungry for more but of course, I had to hold myself back and not devour my dad's crepe. I also learned of the difference between savory and sweet crepes at Le Cap Breton. It turns out the savory crepes are of a darker color (pretty apparent) and the crepe itself is a little more crisp.

Nutella Crepe I'm pretty sure your mouth is already watering from the picture, that is, taking into account that you love chocolate like I do. The only downside of the crepe? A little too much nutella for me but hey, who am I to complain. The French guy who sat next to me devoured his whole crepe without leaving a single trace of nutella on his plate!

Disappointments

Smoked Salmon Crepe This one was a tad bit disappointing to me. I guess i was expecting smoked salmon rather than pan-fried salmon in my crepe. However, it was pretty tasteful with sour cream.

All in all, Le Cap Breton is definitely worth a visit. Here are a couple more images of the restaurant. Please note that I did not take individual images of all the savory crepes since the other ones turned out to look the same as the mushroom crepe!

Bon Appétit,
