There’s no secret that Kagaya is my favorite shabu shabu restaurant in LA and it ranks high up on my list of favorite Japanese restaurants in the city. Unlike most other restaurants that serve you a few different courses for your meal and hastily end your meal with a scoop of ice cream for dessert, Kagaya follows through from the beginning to the end. It’s evident they put effort into your appetizers as well as the dessert.
I finally got the chance to visit Kagaya again after a very long-waited return. Here’s a tip: always call beforehand and make reservations because this small restaurant is fully-booked or packed almost every single day!
It is pretty much impossible for me to come up with any disappointments for Kagaya. All the courses served were amazing, simply amazing. I cannot express my love any other way besides from…I guess just plunging straight into the photos. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words right?
This post will be updated later on with more appetizer and dessert pictures from my previous visits! Again, I highly recommend this shabu shabu restaurant. They offer great service and great food. For those who like to watch their food being prepared can ask to sit at the bar where you can watch the chef prepare your appetizers.
