After months of bookmarking Frenchie To Go and finding out that they serve lobster rolls, I finally made it here right after my intermediate written exam at Le Cordon Bleu.

Since I finished my exam a little early, I got here just a little past 11 and they didn’t serve their lobster rolls until noontime. So what to do in the meantime? Well, we decided to order their Eggs Benedict (Oeufs Benedict) and a couple of drinks while we wait.

Eggs Benedict Much to my surprise, their eggs benedicts became one of my favorite benedicts. While most places serve their benedicts with ham, Frenchie To Go serves theirs with pastrami. The pastrami became my favorite part of the eggs benedict. It doesn't come as a surprise that their pastramis are awesome, since their WiFi password is "pastrami." Yup, that pretty much tells you how seriously they take their pastramis.

Hot Chocolate I know that this picture doesn't do this cup of hot chocolate any justice at all. It looks like a cup of regular hot chocolate you can get anywhere but - WRONG. Since I'm not a big fan of the rich, dense sipping hot chocolates (like the ones served at Angelina), I've been looking for good hot chocolates in Paris and much to my dismay, I was disappointed pretty much every single time. That is, until I went to Frenchie To Go. You can taste the different aromas in this cup of hot chocolate, which brought me back to the chocolate theory class at LCB and I regret not paying more attention to the chef when he explained the different origins of cocoa beans.

Lobster Roll They gave their lobster rolls the right name: Let's Rockin' Lobster Roll. From the blue lobster meat, to the sauce and the buttered toasted brioche, everything seemed perfect except for one thing. It would have been better if there was slightly more lobster meat so it would fill the bottom of the lobster roll instead of only the top where you see the meat popping out.

Some of the other items that grabbed my eye as I took my time reading over each item on the menu while waiting for the clock to strike 12: Reuben Sandwich and Pulled Pork Sandwich. These are definitely items I would try the next time I go back to Frenchie To Go.

Happy eating,
Joey ♥
